Overview
ZeroIQ was conceived as a knowledge and quiz application with the familiar interaction patterns of a social platform. Instead of treating each quiz as an isolated activity, the product gave people a shared environment for IQ challenges, knowledge games, and social-style interaction, built to encourage repeat play rather than a single one-off session. iEncode Tech designed the identity, the user experience, and the mobile application, then built the Laravel and MySQL backend and the real-time infrastructure behind live quiz sessions and leaderboards, delivering the product as one coordinated build rather than a set of features assembled separately over time.

Product experience
The experience needed to make starting a quiz simple while leaving room for repeat participation and social interaction. Navigation, game selection, results, and community-facing features were designed as parts of one consistent mobile journey, so moving between different quiz and IQ formats felt familiar rather than like learning a new app each time.
Challenges & Solutions
Quiz apps often lose players after the first session because each game feels disconnected from the last, with nothing encouraging a return visit. iEncode Tech addressed this by building reusable interface patterns across game formats and layering social-style interaction on top of individual participation, so playing became part of a shared, ongoing experience rather than an isolated transaction, reinforced throughout by a visual identity that stayed consistent from game selection through to results.
Technologies Used
React Nativebuilds the primary mobile experience from a single codebase across iOS and Android, keeping quiz and IQ-game screens consistent without duplicating UI work per platform.Reactpowers the web-based admin panel, reusing component patterns familiar to the same engineering team and speeding up cross-surface development.LaravelandPHPform the backend, handling quiz content, game logic, scoring, and user accounts through a mature framework suited to fast feature iteration.MySQLstores structured relational data for users, games, and participation history, where consistent relationships between players, sessions, and scores matter.WebSocketsdeliver real-time updates during live quiz sessions, so scores, standings, and opponent activity refresh instantly instead of relying on manual refreshes.Google APIsprovide fast social sign-in and give the team analytics on engagement, while Firebase supports push notifications that bring players back for new challenges.MailGunhandles transactional email such as account and result notifications, and an SMS gateway supports time-sensitive alerts.AWS(EC2, Lambda, S3, Route 53) hosts the application, runs background and serverless tasks, stores media assets, and manages DNS, giving the platform room to scale as participation grows.
Results & Impact
iEncode Tech designed the identity, user experience, mobile application, backend, database, and cloud infrastructure for a quiz-led social gaming product, delivering ZeroIQ as one coordinated build rather than a set of disconnected features. React Native and React supported a shared mobile and web implementation, Laravel, PHP, and MySQL provided the application and data foundations, and WebSockets, Google APIs, MailGun, SMS, and AWS gave the platform the real-time responsiveness, communication channels, and scalable infrastructure it needed to turn individual quizzes into a genuinely social, repeatable experience.
